Field of Blooms” is a fun, relaxing project that plays with English Paper Piecing, Appliqué and a touch of embroidery too.

Designed by Sharon Burgess of Lilabelle Lane Creations, her latest version of this quilt features Tilda’s 25^th Anniversary Jubilee collection and Farm Flowers Blenders. We also have a Liberty version of this block of the month coming soon too.

The Field of Blooms is a 12-Month Block of the Month, where each month you will receive 7 fabrics plus a background fabric which will allow you to fully complete at least 7 hexagon blocks (front, back/binding QAYG) with a combination of mini blossom petal fronts and some hexagons with a feature fabric front…some fabrics you could even fussy cut too! (Tilda Version Only) You will also receive 5 sweet little embroideries that you can use as your flower centre. By the end of the 12-months you will have 84 hexagons completed to place as you please and create your own quilt…  Will you make it square, or will you make it rectangle? You could use less and make your quilt smaller and make some other projects such as mug rugs or cushions or you could even add from your stash or extend the block of the month to make it bigger!

 Using the 84 hexagons made over 12 months placed in a rectangle we expect you will end up with a quilt approximately 45” x 59”.

With a great quilt as you go technique, this gorgeous block of the month is a fabulous project that you can take with you anywhere for when you can catch a few precious moments of stitching as you are on the go 😊

as this project is flexible to choose you own path, finished size will vary depending on how many hexagons you make and how you place them.

You can even add from your stash to make some more or extend the length of block of the month to continue receiving fabrics if you would like to make your quilt bigger!

Patchwork with Gail Block of the Month Policy

There are STRICTLY NO CANCELLATIONS to this block of the month. At the time registration is received a complete kit will be put aside for you so that all fabrics are cut from the same bolt to ensure they are consistent throughout the program and any cancellations would leave an incomplete kit or part patterns.  By purchasing this product you are agreeing to the full 12-month program.

For the Field of Blooms Block of the Month a $50 registration payment will be made at the time of purchasing this product which will start your enrolment into this 12-month program. This payment is non-refundable and will be transferred towards the block of the month.

Once the order is received you will be contacted by one of our team to finalize the enrollment and confirm payment options and details for the remainder of the program.

Pricing for the Block of the Month Includes all items detailed above. There are a number of add-on options available including a Fusible Batting Pack, Glue Refill option and extension option. You can also create your own Field of Fancy Starter Pack with items such as threads for your EPP and Applique, Needles, Glue Pens, Cutters, Rotating Cutting Mats plus much more. These items can be added at the time enrolment is finalized. Alternatively please contact the shop and we can send you details of all available options.

The first block will not be posted until the enrollment details for the remainder of the program are confirmed and Month 1 payment is processed.

Payments for Month 1 – 10 will be processed on the 15^th , 16^th or 17^th  of each month until all blocks are sent.  Packs will be posted by the 17^th of the month.
