 Alice Caroline’s Country Diary Block of the Month invites you to stitch along month by month, discovering charming designs inspired by nature and wildlife, hedgerows, fields and quiet country moments. Each month brings new designs to stitch and a beautiful selection of Liberty Tana Lawn Fabric for creating your English Paper Piecing, perfect for relaxed sewing sessions and a lovely way to watch your quilt grow throughout the year building a beautiful story and an heirloom quilt full of memories.

The gorgeous Alice’s Country Diary book contains 111 pages filled with full-colour images and step-by-step instructions plus additional pages with iron on transfers for all of the embroidery designs. This lovely heirloom quilt combines the techniques of embroidery for the beautiful botanical designs, English Paper Piecing for the surrounding rings, applique and super simple patchwork to bring it all together in the end.

There are 25 different botanical embroideries in total, each one framed with a gorgeous EPP border.

The book contains full instructions on embroidery stitches including satin, daisy chain, French knots and many more

Alice’s Country Diary began as a block of the month, dividing the quilt into bite-sized chunks, but has recently been released as a beautiful hardback book. We are excited to bring you the chance to participate in a block of the month program, giving you the beautiful Liberty fabrics required to make this stunning quilt; there are ten monthly fabric packs all curated by Patchwork with Gail B. You will need a copy of the book, which you can also purchase through the BOM program.

Notes

This is all the fabric requirements for the quilt top. BOM does not include the embroidery threads or the fabrics for the binding and backing.

Threads can be added to this block of the month program for an additional $7.50 per month. Should you select this option the 43 DMC threads required (as detailed in the book) will be sent over the course of this program. 

Please note that the fabrics included in this block of the month are not identical to the fabrics featured in the book but have been carefully chosen to give a similar overall effect.

Cost

$55 at the time of Enrolment
or $62.50 should you choose to add the DMC Threads.

This enrolment is an advanced payment and payment for month 1 will be processed prior to sending. This will mean that you will always be one months ahead with the final month of your BOM to be sent without payment..

Patchwork with Gail Block of the Month Policy

There are STRICTLY NO CANCELLATIONS to this block of the month. At the time registration is received a complete kit will be put aside for you so that all fabrics are cut from the same bolt to ensure they are consistent throughout the program and any cancellations would leave an incomplete kit or part patterns. In many instances a higher value of inclusions is also included in month 1 to get you started.  By purchasing this product you are agreeing to the full 10-month program.

For the Alice’s Country Diary Block of the Month a $55 registration payment will be made at the time of purchasing this product which will start your enrolment into this 10-month program. This payment is non-refundable and will be transferred towards the block of the month ie this payment is an advance payment and payment for month 1 will be processed prior to sending. This will mean that you will always be one month ahead with the final month of your BOM to be sent without payment.

As monthly payments cannot be processed on an ongoing basis through out website, once the order is received you will be contacted by one of our team to finalize the enrollment and confirm payment options and details for the remainder of the program.

Pricing for the Block of the Month Includes all items detailed above. There are a number of add-on options available including the DMC Threads required for the Embroidery. You can also create your own Alice’s Country Diary Starter Pack with items such as threads for your EPP and Applique, Needles, Glue Pens, Cutters, Rotating Cutting Mats plus much more. These items can be added at the time enrolment is finalized. Alternatively please contact the shop and we can send you details of all available options.

The first block will not be posted until the enrollment details for the remainder of the program are confirmed and Month 1 payment is processed.

Payments for Month 1 – 9 will be processed on the 15^th , 16^th or 17^th  of each month until all blocks are sent.  Packs will be posted by the 17^th of the month.
